Tatty Devine Shop FrontWe were contacted with a very interesting job for Tatty Devine. Tatty Devine are a business which produces unique jewelry and are very well known in the fashion industry. www.tattydevine.com

At the time of their contacting us, they operated out of two shops, one in Brick Lane and the other in Soho , with their main workshop within the Brick Lane store. With the business expanding rapidly they moved their workshop to a new and larger location, leaving a larger space at the Brick Lane shop to use as gallery and retail sales space. For this enhanced space they required an innovative and unique resin floor to reflect their businesses individuality.

After consultation with Designer Resin Floors, they decided to have a bright pink self-smoothing resin floor with a number of logos and images encapsulated into the floor. As well as two of the businesses logos in black and silver glitter they wanted a number of star like images, also in silver glitter, and a 15 foot piano keyboard image extending from the shop entrance.

Finally they required the whole floor to have a light dusting of “fairy dust” for which we used holographic glitter encapsulated within the sealer coat. The floor had to be completed before their planned re-opening on 14th February 2007

The floor of their Brick Lane store was made up of two substrates, a concrete surface at the back of their store and an area of wooden floor boards at the front. The front step was a specially designed aluminum step that turns into a ramp to allow disabled access. It was upon this that they required the silver glitter logo.

After surface preparation and priming we laid the main flooring system in a custom made pink colour . After a suitable curing period we applied the logos and images. This was all the covered with several layers of a very hard sealer coat with small holographic glitter particles encapsulated within it.

The Finished Floor With Shop Name The Finished Floor

The finished floor had an incredible, unique look that reflected the Tatty Devine image and it's branding. The owners of Tatty Devine, Harriet Vine and Rosie Wolfenden were absolutely delighted with their new floor.
