Case Studies - Dance floor in a resort nightclub

We were asked to refurbish a dance floor in a resort nightclub. They were looking for a surface that would be very hard wearing and would sparkle under the nightclubs lights.

After consultation with us they decided to have a midnight blue self smoothing resin system with a heavy dusting of Holographic Glitter within the surface. Over this was applied a very hard wearing sealer coat to minimise wear to the floor.

The original rough concrete surface was prepared by laying a self smoothing cementitious screed, onto which our coating system was applied. Finally the clear sealer was applied over the top, encapsulating the glitter and adding extra sparkle.

When finished the floor sparkled with a myriad of colours under all lighting conditions.
